Sleepless Nights

Twisting and turning, another sleepless night. Its amazing how many people will agree with this. Then again is it sadly, unsurprising, what with the current situation.

Bills due, current political climate, unsteady youth, ungainly young adults that will horrifically run the country sometime in the future. Yes, pick one pick multiples, in the end the results speak for themselves, sleepless nights.

Fret not though, there are quite a few high points in life that are quite subtle for anyone to notice. For instance, remember him? Her? Their smiles that just seem to make the day a little less bleak? Perhaps just hearing their voice calms you down just a tad hm? Yeah, without realizing it many people have fallen in love, though not romantically. Isn’t it crazy, we only have one word to describe love in english, whereas Sanskrit has about 96 or so.

Perhaps there isn’t just hate, perhaps it is an absence of love, the point where love is such a foreign and scary concept. It isn’t just the food that brings back memories, it is memories shared with certain trigger objects, remember that burger joint you’d go to on payday with the family? Perhaps the icecream place where you went with your siblings and cousins, friends, and general outings. The main thing that is constant is the people, it is what makes the experience worth it.

I could go to Disneyland by myself and have a decent time, take my cousins and we’ll have a blast probably. The people make the experience, from a broad range of emotions. Bittersweet some would call it, others would say revulsion. As nice as the peace and quiet is, we’ll eventually seek the comfort of another human being. Perhaps this is why some relationships don’t work out, we prefer our privacy, but we also want to keep that important person nearby who is also a private person. Who knows, relationships wildly vary to say for sure.

Back to the point, sleep easy knowing that our current situation is not our final destination, but a small obstacle to overcome. One can either Pray for Patience and wait out the storm. Then again they could also Pray for Strength to take on any challenge, forr those so inclined to prayer.

These worries will take care of themselves, and they won’t come breaking the door down at 3am at night figuratively speaking. The only thing we can do is put a sticky note on the mirror to remind us that tomorrow’s objective needs to be complete. We can put this months objective in our daily planner.

Priority is the name of that game, we need food, sleep, and decent shelter. So long as we have that, we can march forth to take on current challenges. It also helps to have a companion for such a venture every now and then.

Sleep well tonight people.
